Traces of Rosemary have been found in Egyptian tombs. The Greeks and Romans used it as a symbol of regeneration – they held it as a sacred plant, giving comfort to the living and peace to the dead. It was used to drive away evil spirits. Rosemary has been used to preserve meat and the French burnt if for their antiseptic properties during epidemics. Rosemary oil brightens the brain cells, clears the head and aids memory and concentration – a must have for every student.
